The original Montana Escape was build in 2001 with continued refinements in 2002 (adding a wet steam in the west wing) and 700 square feet of additional space in 2005. The home, totaling about 3700 square feet was completed with a reduced footprint to the forest in mind. A seasonal creek runs through the property which attracts wildlife year round. In addition to wildlife viewing, cross country snow skiing, fishing and hiking trails are just steps from the property. The cross country trails become some of our favorite mountain biking trails in the Summer. The Gallatin Canyon and River is where the movie; "A River Runs Through it" was filmed and is a few minutes away. Also world class skiing at the resort is also minutes away or accessible by the cross county trails from the house.
